ABOUT TRICO POLY SYSTEMS
We Build For People
Trico Poly Systems has its roots from APC (Automatic Process Control). APC was founded in the late 1950s by a brilliant engineer named August Kraft. Mr. Kraft designed the first “automatic” cast urethane mixing and dispensing machines.
The company started in Elizabeth, NJ and soon moved to a new building in the next town over, Union, NJ. Mr. Kraft also designed MOOV
(metering out of vacuum) dispensing machines. These machines mixed and poured epoxy resins with fillers using a piston/cylinder design instead of the bladder pumps and later precision metering pumps used on the “normal” automatic dispensing machines.
Mr. Kraft also designed the tanks used to degass the urethane prepolymer material. First came the Column Degasser in the 1960s and then the industry work-horse Slinger Degasser in the mid 1980s. Mr. Kraft was awarded several patents for this equipment.
Mr. Kraft and the Kraft family ran APC until the early 2000s. In 2006, the company changed ownership. Three employees of APC got together and purchased APC. The company’s name was changed to Trico Poly Systems. And yes, “Trico” comes from the three employees!
Today, the company is still owned by the family of one of the three employees, the Plis family. Trico Poly has nearly 70 years of combined experience designing and building urethane dispensing equipment. We have over 100 active customers. Let us design a system for you!

Everyone at TPS is always very helpful when it comes to ordering replacement parts for our equipment or servicing pumps, electronics, etc. and always work with us to get it out and to us in a timely manner. Anytime we need tech support or need to troubleshoot an issue that has arisen with a piece of our TPS equipment, staff members like Joe M. work diligently with us to get the issue figured out and resolved as soon as possible so we can get back up and running production again. We have built a great relationship over the years with TPS team members in regard to the equipment and tech support and they do an excellent job at standing behind their equipment and services and that is why we trust all of our processing equipment and tech support needs to TPS still to this date.
