The Mark XV

The Mark XV is our latest “gear” dispensing machine.  It’s a descendant of the Mark IV from the 1970s.  As the saying goes: “if it isn’t broken don’t fix it”.  Our gear machine has been steadily improving over the years, but the core principle remains the same: constant ratio and constant temperature.

The Mark XV is comprised of a resin (prepolymer), a curative, and up to four color pumps – driven by a single shaft (1HP DC motor and a gear reducer).  It is the perfect machine for pouring a single ratio all day long.  External gears on the metering pumps are driven from gears on the drive shaft.  This gear-set controls the ratio, typically necessitating adjustments only to the curative pump gear.
